Sam Kelly

It's FanArt Wednesday again! This week’s chosen artist is Sam Kelly from Perryville, Maryland. You can connect with Sam on FacebookInstagram, and her website

Here's a little about Sam:

1. When did you become an X-Phile?

I started watching X-Files in 8th grade and immediately fell in love with it! It was kind of creepy and as a 13 year-old I liked that about it. As I got older, I found I enjoyed different aspects of the show. For instance, I adore the relationship between Scully and Mulder.

2. What is the first episode you watched?

My dad was the one who first introduced me to The X-Files. He’s a huge fan too. He showed me his favorite episode, “Bad Blood”. This would soon become one of my favorites. Ever since that first episode, I was hooked.

3. What was your favorite part of the revival?

My favorite part was getting to see the story continuing. I loved seeing Scully and Mulder back again.

4. What inspired you to create X-Files fanart?

My inspiration for creating X-Files art is simply that I’m a huge fan. It’s exciting to share fanart with others who have the same interests. Scully and Mulder have a funny relationship and I love trying to capture their personalities in my work.

5. Who is your favorite character?

Scully.

6. List your top 5 episodes.

#1 (top favorite): “Arcadia”

#2: “Roadrunners”

#3: “How the Ghosts Stole Christmas”

#4: “Bad Blood”

#5: “Agua Mala”

7. Favorite X-Files quote.

From “Arcadia”: Mulder says, “Isn’t that right, honey-bunch?” Scully replies, “That’s right, poopy-head.” I love this exchange because I just think it perfectly captures their relationship.

8. How has The X-Files impacted your life?

Well, it’s certainly taken up a lot of my time; I think I’ve seen every episode about twenty times.

Thanks, Sam! FanArt will be back in two weeks. See you next Wednesday with a new FanWorks!
