greenlightbabyHello Philes! It's almost birthday time at XFN! In celebration of our 5th birthday, and in light of the recent Olympic Swim Team's cover version of "Call Me Maybe" and the outstanding success of the latest Tweet-A-Thon (45,357 tweets and TT in France, Germany and Australia!), we've decided to take the phile fun to a whole new level.

XFN staff are hard at work on our own cover of "Call Me Maybe," titled GREENLIGHT BABY. With lyrics by K. Andersen, vocals by our own Tiffany Devol, and a production team made up of XFN's editor-in-chief (and XFN Productions principle) Avi Quijada, LAX-Files' Erica Fraga, and XFN's Joselyn Rojas; we felt this would be a fun project to celebrate the 19th 10/13 as well as XFN's 5th birthday!

What do you need to do? Grab a video camera and film yourselves (and friends!) acting out the lyrics! How, where, or with whom you film is completely up to you, but whatever you do, the idea is to promote XF3!

GREENLIGHT BABY lyrics. (K. Andersen)

Sunflower seeds in the shell,
Trust no one, I'll never tell

Look to the skies for a spell,
Oh I want to believe
I'd trade my soul for a kiss
Damn bee did make shippers hiss
The basement that we all miss,
The truth is ou-out there

Their gaze was holdin',
red speedo, skin was showin'
black oil, smoke was blowin'
Why’d they have to kill the Gunmen?

(Chorus)
Hey, I just met you, And this is spooky,
But we love X-Files, So GREEN LIGHT BABY!
We need to see them, Mulder and Scu-lly,
We love the X-Files, So GREEN LIGHT BABY!
Hey, I just met you, And this is spooky,
But we love X-Files, So GREEN LIGHT BABY!
And all the other grays, Try to take me,
We love the X-Files, So GREEN LIGHT BABY!

Why can’t they kiss in the hall?
And Mulder’s there with the call,
He wants to play some baseball,
Hey Mul-der it’s me

Flukeman, Pusher, Jose Chung,
They scared us when we were young
That awesome poster he hung
How we miss it all!

Their gaze was holdin',
red speedo, skin was showin'
black oil, smoke was blowin'
Why’d they have to kill the Gunmen?

Chorus
Hey, I just met you, And this is spooky,
But we love X-Files, So GREEN LIGHT BABY!
We need to see them, Mulder and Scu-lly,
We love the X-Files, So GREEN LIGHT BABY!
Hey, I just met you, And this is spooky,
But we love X-Files, So GREEN LIGHT BABY!
And all the other grays, try to take me,
We love the X-Files, So GREEN LIGHT BABY!

Bridge

Another film would be so grand
We need it so bad
We need it so bad
We need it so so bad

Another film would be so grand
We need it so bad
And you should know that
We need it so, so bad

We need a third film and don’t mean maybe!
We love the X-Files, So GREEN LIGHT BABY!

Chorus
Hey, I just met you, And this is spooky,
But we love X-Files, So GREEN LIGHT BABY!
We need to see them, Mulder and Scu-lly,
We love the X-Files, So GREEN LIGHT BABY!

Another film would be so grand
We need it so bad
We need it so bad
We need it so so bad

Another film would be so grand
We need it so bad
And you should know that
So GREEN LIGHT BABY!
