It's FanArt Wednesday again! This week’s chosen artist is Ana Amorin from Brazil. You can connect with Ana on Twitter, Tumblr, DeviantArt, Redbubble, and Society6.
Here's a little about Ana:
1. When did you become an X-Phile?
I actually started watching the series this year mid January. I'm only on the 4th season (I'm finally watching a season from a time I was actually, you know, born, I was a baby but that's cool) but I'm already deeply in love with this show!
2. What is the first episode you watched?
The very first one actually! And I guess it worked, since I'm hooked on it!
3. What was your favorite part of the revival?
Not there yet, but I will be soon. YOU JUST WAIT AND SEE!
4. What inspired you to create X-Files fanart?
I've only made 2 X-Files pieces so far and they were both inspired by teenage 90's fashion and my undying love for Scully (that one developed fast, didn't even see it coming to be honest). It's funny because when I see people's comments on my pictures, they say "grunge" or "alternative fashion", when actually, I just straight up looked for old teen pictures from that period. I think I just didn't go that crazy with the colors as I could have!
5. Who is your favorite character?
Scully, 100% (Hey, I'm new, give me some time. I still don't know what happens to half of them!)
6. List your top 5 episodes.
Ok, here we go...(spoiler alert if I put down some reasons why. I can't contain myself.)
1. Tooms
2. Revelations
3. Ice (I like "the thing", what can I say)
4. Firewalker
5. Teliko
7. Favorite X-Files quote.
It's from "Musings of a Cigarette-Smoking Man": "I can kill you whenever I please. But not today."
8. How has The X-Files impacted your life?
I don't think it has had quite enough time to really impact my life as much as the people who've been following this show since the beginning. I do love the fact that this show really tries to push ideas that, even today, are still being fought for. It doesn't try to hide the messages in certain episodes, maybe when I'm all caught up I can answer this question more appropriately, so onward for more episodes!
Thanks, Ana! FanArt will be back in two weeks. See you next Wednesday with a new FanWorks!
