It's FanArt Wednesday again! This week’s chosen artist is Chang Dai, from Toronto, Canada. You can connect with Chang on Tumblr.
Here's a little about Chang:
1. When did you become an X-Phile?
In the spring of 2013.
2. What is the first episode you watched?
I watched the entire show in chronological order, so it was the pilot in all its "brick-phone and shoulder-pads" glory.
3. What are you looking forward to seeing in the revival?
I'm tempted to say something pretentious such as "how the characters developed during the absence of the show" or "how much will the fandom's opinions sway show-decisions"...but really, I'm just looking forward to the simple pleasure of watching the old gang get back together.
4. What inspired you to draw X-Files?
Frustration, which I'm told is something all X-Philes are familiar with. Or in this particular case with the above image, a very well written fanfic which was recommended to me (Parabiosis).
5. Who is your favorite character?
I'll cheat here and pick a group, my favourites have got to be The Lone Gunmen.
6. List your top 5 episodes.
Beyond the Sea, Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose, Pusher, The Rain King, and How the Ghosts Stole Christmas.
7. Favorite X-Files quote.
"Scully, I don't think it's a coincidence that a cow gets hurled at me just as we're down here investigating the weather."
8. How has The X-Files impacted your life?
It's helped me accept the fact that, being someone who's Truth is considered "out there" by the majority, this life will be lonesome and treacherous, there will be scoffers and persecution; but the one or two kindred souls I do find along the way should be held close to my heart.
Thanks, Chang! Come back next Wednesday for a new artist!
