We are starting a new feature on XFN called FanArt Wednesdays! What does it consist of? Well, we're glad you asked We will choose an X-Phile artist every week and feature their work on Instagram. Furthermore, you can learn more about the artist in the short profile we will feature on the website.
The artist we chose this week is Meg Myers from Portland, Oregon. You can follow her on Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr.
Here's a little bit about Meg:
1. When did you become an X-Phile?
About a year and a half ago.
2. What is the first episode you watched?
The pilot episode! I was determined to start from the beginning and make it all the way though.
3. What are you looking forward to seeing in the revival?
Mulder and Scully doing what they do best—investigating, brainstorming, bantering, and flirting. I'm also curious to see where the myth arc will continue and especially what the new "monster of the week" creatures will be.
4. What inspired you to draw X-Files?
Any time I have an interest in something I end up making art of it, and X-Files was no exception. The way the show is framed and filmed combined with the colorful variety of characters makes it so visually conducive to creativity, and seeing the remarkable amount of talent poured into it is so inspiring.
5. Who is your favorite character?
Scully. I fell in love with her almost instantly.
6. List your top 5 episodes.
• Ice
• Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose
• The Amazing Maleeni
• Memento Mori
• Pusher
7. Favorite X-Files quote.
"Nothing happens in contradiction to nature, only in contradiction to what we know of it."
8. How has The X-Files impacted your life?
Probably most importantly it encouraged me to value intelligence, integrity, and the strength of human spirit—I've never had any form of entertainment affect me positively the way X-Files has.
