It’s FanArt Wednesday again! This week’s artist is Noemi Spezzatti from Italy. You can connect with Noemi on Tumblr, Facebook, or Redbubble.
Keep reading below for more about Noemi.
When did you become an X-Phile?
Honestly I’m kind of new to this fandom. I’ve always known about the show but I started watching it something like 2 years ago.
What is the first episode you watched?
The very first one, since I already knew I was going to love it.
What is your favorite part of the revival?
I really liked how they managed to put so many references to the previous seasons in it, especially in the comedy episode. I wasn’t expecting it at all and it struck me so much that I needed to watch it multiple times.
What inspired you to create X-Files fanart?
I always tend to draw fanart from everything I love. When it’s about tv shows, I usually get inspiration by watching my favorite episodes. I think it’s a pretty common thing among artists, though (even if I don’t consider myself one yet).
Who is your favorite character?
Oh, there are a lot of awesome characters, but I obviously love Mulder and Scully the same way. I know it’s a trivial answer, sorry I can’t do anything about it.
List your top 5 episodes.
1. “The Post-Modern Prometheus”
2. “Bad Blood”
3. “Die Hand Die Verletzt”
4. “The Beginning”
5. “Chinga”
Yes, I enjoy campy stuff more than I like to admit.
Favorite X-Files quote.
”I have never met anyone so passionate and dedicated to a belief as you. It’s so intense that sometimes it’s blinding.”
But that’s just because I bet “Sure. Fine. Whatever” doesn’t even count anymore.
How has The X-Files impacted your life?
Well, where do I start? Maybe it’s because I frequently speak by quoting stuff, but I almost don’t go a day without using references from this show. Okay, that may be a little awkward. I’ll try to act serious for this last question.
The X-Files gave me such a strong message of hope. Whatever you’re going through, no matter how hopeless you feel, you can still listen to your heart and believe that you’ll get what you’re looking for, no matter how impossible it seems. It will take time and lots of other things, but you never stop believing in what you feel is right.
That’s my interpretation of the whole show in general, and I literally live by this message.
Thanks, Noemi! Stay tuned for a new FanWorks writer next week.
