In light of requests for more time, we've extended the deadline for the Greenlight Baby video project! We've gotten quite a few entries already, but we'd love to have more. So that means you have another month to film yourself and send off your entries to us. Need a refresher on the details? Well here you go:
What do you need to do? Grab a video camera and film yourselves (and friends!) acting out the lyrics! How, where, or with whom you film is completely up to you, but whatever you do, the idea is to promote XF3!
See the rules as follows:
1. Submit a 30-60 second video, in the following video formats: .AVI .MPEG .MOV or .M4V
2. If you feel the need to vid the whole song do so, BUT only sections of it will be used due to space and time constrains.
3. Sing or lipsync along to the lyrics of "Greenlight Baby". Dress up, enlist fellow philes, use your posters, tshirts, trading cards, you name it. The funnier, the better.
4. Submit the video to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by November 12, 2012.
The final video will be released on November 21, so get filming, Philes! Download the song here and check out the lyrics after the jump.
Hello Philes! It's almost birthday time at XFN! In celebration of our 5th birthday, and in light of the recent Olympic Swim Team's cover version of "Call Me Maybe" and the outstanding success of the latest Tweet-A-Thon (45,357 tweets and TT in France, Germany and Australia!), we've decided to take the phile fun to a whole new level.
XFN staff are hard at work on our own cover of "Call Me Maybe," titled GREENLIGHT BABY. With lyrics by K. Andersen, vocals by our own Tiffany Devol, and a production team made up of XFN's editor-in-chief (and XFN Productions principle) Avi Quijada, LAX-Files' Erica Fraga, and XFN's Joselyn Rojas; we felt this would be a fun project to celebrate the 19th 10/13 as well as XFN's 5th birthday!

Frank Spotnitz responded to a fan's email this morning to say that while there will be no X-Files film this year, there is more than hope for XF3.
"There won't be a movie this year, Beth, but there is more than hope - those of us insisting on a third movie are right; those who doubt its creative and commercial potential are simply dead wrong. Don't give up!"
The Believe in the Future campaign has been going strong for the last four years with no intention of stopping. We hope you will stick around with us because once this film does get made and hits theaters, it will be the biggest, most long-overdue fan party of all time. Don't give up, because no one gets there alone.
What started as a suggestion from a phile in September of 2011, has now turned into a worldwide movement with over 119,000 tweets being sent in support of a third X-Files feature film.
Last night, the XF3 Army’s fourth twitter event took place, and after three previous events rocketed the campaign into the top 10 hashtags on twitter, an X-Files hashtag had yet to become a Trending Topic.
That all changed at 6pm Pacific Time on March 10th when #TXF3 suddenly appeared as the 4th trending topic WORLDWIDE and stayed there for half an hour.
We would like to thank the philes that participated and the XF3 Army worldwide for their support. This is NOT over, so look for more trending events coming soon to a Twitter near you!
As of today March 10th, 2012 at 6pm, #txf3 trended 5th worldwide, during the Americas' Trending Power Window.
We will have more stats for you as the tweet-a-thon finishes, but this is what we came for and look at that, we conquered!
Well done, philes!
