It's no secret that shippers weren't exactly thrilled with the revelation that Mulder and Scully have split in the upcoming X-Files Revival. But in an article from News Corp Australia Network, creator Chris Carter has a few things to say that might feel like a life preserver for that sinking ship. Possible spoilers ahead after the jump.
When asked about Mulder and Scully and the split Carter said, “I think if you were to really put both of them under a microscope, they are desperate to find a reason to get back together, and I think that comes through loud and clear in the first episode and in the subsequent episodes.”
Their relationship may be "rocky" right now, and Carter suggests that's because of the "passage of time."
But will they find that reason to get back together in the end? We'll just have to watch and see.
