Warner Brother's and DC Entertainment's Wonder Woman has lost its director. Michelle MacLaren, best known to Philes as the phenomenal director of The X-Files 'John Doe' has left the production due to creative differences according to a statement released by the studio. The film, which was currently in pre-production, was set to release on June 23, 2017.
Wonder Woman would have been MacLaren's first major feature film.
Her recent directorial work includes Better Call Saul, Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, and Breaking Bad. Michelle MacLaren first became known to X-Files fans during her run as co-executive producer of The X-FilesĀ during the series last three seasons. Her directorial debut was season 9's 'John Doe' and showcased her enormous talent as a director.
MacLaren is the winner of 2 Emmy Awards for her work on Breaking Bad.
