The X-Files isn't the only show getting a revival in 2016. In honor of the series' return, a special production is also coming back to the stage. The Burl-X-Files: The Truth Is Down There…an X-Files Burlesque Parody is a burlesque show created by Jo Jo Stiletto. Debuting in 2013, it honors all the weird and wonderful things we love about the tv series.
The show is coming back to the Theatre Off Jackson in Seattle, Washington, for a limited run on the weekend before the Season 10 premiere. On January 14th, 15th and 16th, doors will open at 7pm, and the show will begin at 8pm. Tickets go on sale here on December 9th and they will sell out quickly so don't wait. Ticket options are $25, premium for $40, or $150 for VIP seating.

Creator Jo Jo Stiletto describes the show as "one part nostalgia, one part celebration of fandom, and one part indulgence of not-so-secret fan fantasies." Having seen it myself - twice - in the summer of 2013, I can tell you the show is both hilarious and moving and does a great job exploring the themes and characters we love.
The Burl-X-Files stars special guest Bazuka Joe of Chicago's Stage Door Johnnies as Agent Fox Mulder and The Shanghai Pearl as Agent Dana Scully.
