If Holy Cow and its impending musical special aren't enough for you, then you're in luck. David Duchovny's second novel will be headed to shelves next year! Bucky F&%@ing Dent "is a story of the bond between fathers and sons, Yankee fans and the Fenway faithful, and grapples with the urgent need to find our story in an age of irony and artifice".
The book will be released on April 5th, 2016. Very much in line with "The Unnatural", David seems to be keeping with his love of the game:
When Ted hears the news that his estranged father, Marty, is dying of lung cancer, he immediately moves back into his childhood home, where a whirlwind of revelations ensues. The browbeating absentee father of his youth is living to make up for lost time, but his health dips drastically whenever his beloved Red Sox lose. And so, with help from a crew of neighborhood old-timers and the lovely Mariana--Marty's Nuyorican grief counselor--Ted orchestrates the illusion of a Sox winning streak, enabling Marty and the Red Sox to reverse the Curse of the Bambino and cruise their way to World Series victory. Well, sort of.
You can pre-order a copy of Bucky F&%@ing Dent now on Amazon.

Former X-Files writer and producer Howard Gordon is a busy guy these days with Homeland and some new projects underway. In an article posted at Den of Geek, he spoke with Matt Allair (also known from X-Files Lexicon) about The X-Files, fandom, and what he's working on currently.
Gordon found great success post-X-Files and told Allair that the show was "a formative experience in [his] education as a writer and a producer. I really cut my teeth on that show and discovered what was possible on television."
He also spoke about the evolution of fandom and how the many choices viewers have today makes for a more fractured audience than when The X-Files was in its heyday in the '90s.
While Gordon is not involved in the current revival, he didn't rule out involvement in the future. He told Allair "If Chris asked me and time permitted, I would jump at the chance to be involved in The X-Files. I’m really looking forward to seeing what Chris, Jim, Glen, and Darin have come up with."
For the latest on Gordon's current projects you can find Matt Allair's full interview here.

Nicki Aycox was one of several actors who had the distinction of playing multiple characters in The X-Files. During the series' initial run she played Chastity Raines in "Rush", and she is particularly recognizable as the second victim in I Want to Believe, Cheryl Cunningham.
Now the actor and musician is releasing an EP entitled Red Velvet Room. DJ Luke Soroko of independent radio station Party 934 recently interviewed Nicki, and will be airing the piece Friday, August 28th at 9pm ET. The pair will discuss both of Nicki's roles on The X-Files, her thoughts on the Revival, her new music, and other work such as Nicki's time on Supernatural.
If you're interested to hear what she's been doing since Chris Carter put her in a tub and tried to decapitate her, make sure you check out the show tomorrow night. You can stream the station online at their website.
