As part of NF awareness month, Doodle 4 NF is well underway on eBay. There are lots of individual doodles up for sale, and all proceeds will benefit The NF Network. Gillian's doodle is doing very well, and there are some awesome ones by other X-Files alumni, but the mother of all doodles is the Montreal Comiccon Banner.
The banner was donated by Montreal Comiccon, but has picked up lots of other doodles through its travels with Gillian. There are almost 27 square feet of doodles by more famous people than you could ever hope to meet at a single convention.
Doodlers include:
Gillian Anderson David Duchovny Felicia Day
Stan Lee George Takei Aaron Ashmore
Patrick Stewart William Shatner James Callis
Christopher Lloyd Wil Wheaton Eddie McClintock
Edward James Olmos John Barrowman Theodore Douglas
James Prufoy Saul Rubenic David Prowse
Betsy Baker Mark Chiarello Frank Cho
Darwyn Cooke Nicole de Boer David Finch
Jason David Frank Geof Isherwood Daniel Logan
Jason Mewes Mike Mignolia Tahmoh Penikit
George Perez Ellen Sandweiss Tom Savini
Kevin Sorbo Brent Spiner Ben Templesmith
Theresa Tilly Kelly Tindall Laura Vandervoort
Click on each name to see their individual doodle. There's a lot of talent covering this banner, and it's certainly a one of a kind item. For some of these people, this banner represents their only doodle being auctioned this year (*ahem* David Duchovny). For others, their doodles have caused all out bidding wars, so make sure you get your chance in with this auction.
Head on over to eBay and bid high for a great cause.

IDW is announcing a five-issue miniseries that will take us to the origins of The X-Files!
Straight from IDW, Year Zero will be presenting us with the people and the events that set in motion that the X-Files were established as a division within the FBI.
According to IDW, "the multi-talented veteran Karl Kesel (FF, Superboy) makes his debut at IDW as the writer on the series. Vic Malhotra (The X-Files: Conspiracy: The Crow) andGreg Scott (The X-Files: Season 10) will be splitting art duties with Malhotra providing the art for the 1940s sequences and Scott drawing the present day storyline. Covers will be provided by Season 10's Carlos Valenzuela, with pulp-novel-inspired subscription variants by Robert Hack (Doctor Who) and a retailer incentive cover by Eisner Award-winner Francesco Francavilla for the first installment."
Likewise, Kesel talks to IDW on their release article about how it feels to be writing a new series based in such iconic storylines: "I've always thought the 40s would be a wonderful setting for X-Files, with the Russian red menace, atomic mutations and flying saucers all lurking in the shadows what I like to think of as "UFO Noir." said Kesel from an undisclosed location. "Of course, iconic characters like Mulder and Scully are a joy to write, and being given the opportunity to introduce their predecessors” Bing Ellinson and Millie Ohio” well, the truth is it's all a little unbelievable to me. But the unbelievable is what X-Files is all about, isn't it?"
We're surely excited with all the work that IDW has been doing for the franchise and very intrigued by this new event. Stay tuned for more updates as they come!

Californication may be wrapping up, but David Duchovny won't be off of our television screens for long. NBC has given a 13-episode order to Aquarius, a police thriller in which Duchovny will star. The series will take place in Los Angeles and revolve around the hunt for Charles Manson.
David will play an LAPD Sergeant with a "complicated personal life". Of the series he says, "I think Aquarius has a chance to be a special show and I can't wait to get going."
It seems that both of our favorite former FBI Agents will be keeping NBC's show schedule full, as Duchovny joins the lineup with Gillian Anderson starring in Hannibal. We will keep you up to date as more details on the series emerge. Until then, read more over at Variety.
