Dina Steginskaia

It's FanArt Wednesday again! This week’s chosen artist is Dina Steginskaia from Russia. You can connect with Dina on Twitter, Tumblr and Instagram.

Here's a little about Dina:

1. When did you become an X-Phile?

I became an X-Phile at a very young age. I think I was 4 or 5 years old when I started watching The X-Files, so it’s been about 18 years now.

2. What is the first episode you watched?

The first one I remember was 'Død Kalm'. I was so fascinated by everything in this episode! Because I was just a kid, I had a lot of questions such as: where did they find such a big ship? How did they make Mulder and Scully look older? How did they become young again? I kept asking my mom so many questions about blood, guns and dead people that she banned me from watching The X-Files but I kept doing it anyway.

3. What was your favorite part of the revival?

I loved everything about the revival. And the Were-Monster now is my favorite monster-character for sure! Glad to see Mulder and Scully working together again, can't wait for more episodes!

4. What inspired you to create X-Files fanart?

I draw a lot. It’s my way of saying thank you and showing my love.

5. Who is your favorite character?

Dana Scully! She’s a really strong character with a hint of craziness!

6. List your top 5 episodes.

I’d have to say my favorite one is 'How the Ghosts Stole Christmas'. I love 'Pilot', 'Memento Mori', 'The Post-Modern Prometheus' and 'Triangle'. That was really hard to choose.

7. Favorite X-Files quote.

Mulder: "You know, they say when you talk to God it’s prayer, but when God talks to you it’s schizophrenia”.

8. How has The X-Files impacted your life?

I think for me back then when I was a kid, it showed me that women can be strong, it taught me about friendship and gave me the best advice - that you have to believe and never give up no matter what.

Thanks, Dina! See you next Wednesday for a new artist!
