It's FanArt Wednesday again! This week’s chosen artist is Emma Stoffberg from England. You can connect with Emma on Twitter, Tumblr and Instagram.
Here's a little about Emma:
1. When did you become an X-Phile?
Very recently. I would say I started watching it only about nine months ago. I thought about it out of the blue and just binge-watched everything in about a week.
2. What is the first episode you watched?
Technically, 'Max'. It was on when I was very young and I cried because it was terrifying to me. However, the first episode I properly watched was, of course, 'Pilot'. I watch a lot of crime procedurals, but the supernatural element really changed it up for me.
3. What was your favorite part of the revival?
My favourite part of the revival was... probably the excitement of getting to experience The X-Files live, and with other people. The show is older than me, and I honestly never expected to be able to say, "hey, how about that new X-Files episode?"
4. What inspired you to create X-Files fanart?
Probably the fandom? They come up with really interesting ideas and concepts, and everyone in it is really nice. Reading different people's comments really makes me want to continue to make some cool art. And some goofy stuff, while I'm at it.
5. Who is your favorite character?
Scully. Absolutely. She's probably the epitome of what I aspired to be as a kid, in terms of... her everything. Including her fashion. Like, wow. Those shoulder pads, though. But in all seriousness, she's just a great female character, and I love her a lot.
6. List your top 5 episodes.
'Pusher', 'Ice', 'How The Ghosts Stole Christmas', 'X-COPS', and 'Folie A Deux'.
7. Favorite X-Files quote.
Scully: "Please explain to me the scientific nature of the whammy."
8. How has The X-Files impacted your life?
I'm pretty sure I don't get through an interaction with someone without going "Ah yeah, that's like this one episode in The X-Files...". Also, I'm definitely better at binge-watching.
Thanks, Emma! See you next Wednesday for a new artist!
