Hunted is making the rounds lately, and it seems that the anticipation for Frank Spotnitz' new drama just hit a new high today. Entertainment One has confirmed signing a Multi-Territory Home Entertainment deal for the new show to hit the air waves this Fall. According to Ruth Clark, Shine International's SVP, this new deal ensures that the show will be distributed to some of the biggest home entertainment territories in the world.
Created by Frank Spotnitz, and produced in conjuction with Big Light Productions, Kudos Films, Cinemax and BBC One; Hunted tells the story of Sam Hunter, "an operative working for a private intelligence agency who survives a failed attempt on her life, which she believes was orchestrated by members of her own team. After recovering from the attack, Hunter goes back to work, not knowing who tried to kill her or who she can trust. The drama series stars Melissa George, Adam Rayner and Adewale Akinnouye-Agbaje"
The show has also been rated as one of the most anticipated new dramas by many entertainment outlets and most recently made part of the A-List of the MIPTV 2012 by The Hollywood Reporter.
Recently released for the New Zealand market was an ad by McKenna Bourbon, and starring in it is none other than David Duchovny. Of the ad, the company says:
Our good friend David has generously agreed to appear in this new ad. Made especially for the NZ market, it won’t be screened in any other country in the world. Take a look as David shares his thoughts on the city, staying faithful and of course McKenna Bourbon. It’s worth a watch...
FOX has been working hard on their 25th Anniversary Special that will include The X-Files. David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, and Chris Carter will all be taking part in the special.
Today, "The Huffington Post" published several photos taken during filming, including those of Chris and David. Check them out below.
The South African Youth Education for Sustainability (SA-YES) will begin running a series of auctions of white cotton T-Shirts printed with their logo and autographed by Gillian Anderson, to benefit this organization. They struggle year to year to raise funds for this worthy cause and its important if you show any kind of support.
Check out Frank Spotnitz' latest interview at Screendaily. In there he gives a lot of details of his upcoming show, Hunted,
He was also asked about the chances of a 3rd X-Files Movie. Frank responded:
“There is a very active and relentless fan campaign for a last movie. I do feel like it would be a terrible shame if that didn’t happen. It feels wrong not to give it an ending around the alien colonization of earth. David [Duchovny] and Gillian [Anderson] feel the same. I have a clear idea of how it would go and I’ve been talking to Chris Carter about it for a long time. I’ll keep banging the drum whenever I meet the Fox guys [the studio holds the sequel rights but was disappointed by the original’s lackluster box office].”
We'll be informing of more details on Hunted as they come and any upcoming plans for the XF3 campaign.
