Twenty years after The X-Files first graced our screens, the series' cast and crew is headed to San Diego Comic-Con. If you're not familiar with conventions, Comic-Con International is the comic-con to go to. Every July, 130,000 fans of TV, film, comics, video games, and many other genres pack into the convention center in downtown San Diego.
This year, the convention runs from Thursday, July 18th through Sunday the 21st, with preview night on Wednesday. Generally, the floor opens every day at 9:30am and close at 7pm, except for Sunday when everything wraps up at 5pm.
There are lots of X-Files events happening at SDCC this year, and XFN will be covering them all. Here's a look at what's in store.
There has been lots of talk of Gillian Anderson attending San Diego Comic-Con this year, and the details are finally out.
First off, she will be attending the X-Files 20th Anniversary panel on Thursday the 18th alongside many of the XF writers and producers. We'll bring you more updates on this as they emerge.
Gillian will also be attending a panel for the new IDW The X-Files: Season 10 comics, as well as autographing at the Lightspeed Fine Art booth.
She will only be appearing Thursday through Saturday. For more information, head over to her website.
A month ago, Gillian Anderson gave a talk and Q&A session at Collectormania in Milton Keynes. The event was attended by 50 lucky fans and raised money for the charity Gillian co-founded, SA-YES. The organization helps marginalized children and young adults in South Africa.
You may have seen our Twitter coverage of the event thanks to the lovely Sophie Brown. However if you didn't or if you'd like to see more, check out the video of the full talk below.
The video is free to watch, but if you would like to donate to SA-YES, you can do so here.
