Many X-Philes have been eagerly awaiting for the date that The X-Files twitter feed has been teasing since July 2nd. Well, the online publication "Le Matin" has the scoop for you, straight from Mr. Chris Carter himself. He was interviewed this weekend because of his visit to the Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival.
In the interview, Carter was asked:
Fans are excited about a tweet: "X-Files": "7.7.15". This date is tomorrow. What will happen?
This is a promotional date: marks 201 days before the first broadcast of new episodes. During this period, a daily episode will be streamed.
While there hasn't been an official announcement of these plans yet, sources inform us that this streaming won't be including The X-Files: Fight The Future or The X-Files: I Want To Believe. If these plans change and there's an official announcement of it per FOX, we'll let you know.
As you may know already, on July 4th, 2015, the global community of X-Philes started a rewatch of the series that does observe the two movies within this plan. XFN will continue hosting our live tweeting sessions according to our advertised The X-Files Global Rewatch.

Dear X-Philes et all!
A word from the XFN Team.
What a great excitement it is to have The X-Files back in this world. It is such an extraordinary opportunity to experience the show back in production and for this to happen in such a great place like Vancouver, BC.
Everyday, our feeds are flooded by pictures that portray the upcoming episodes being shot, fueling everyone with great material for speculation, also known as "The X-Philes Favorite Sport". And believe us when we say: We are as excited as you are!
While it is so good to see the community come alive with all of these conversations about these materials, coming from fans and paparazzi, we need to address a recurrent request that we've received since production launched almost a month ago.
Many of you have contacted us asking for information about the upcoming locations, including specific addresses, dates and which talent will be in attendance. We want to reiterate that we cannot and won't share this information publicly or otherwise. While we understand that some sites, especially on Twitter and message boards, have been posting this data, even in some posts and articles that we have retweeted and shared on our facebook page, XFN won't be publishing or providing this sensitive information per request or as part of any of our official posts or via private messaging, under any circumstance. We may publish and share some of these pictures as part of our commitment to bring you the latest news, but we won't be making any advertising of a specific location address.
Our intention is to ensure the safety of everyone, respect the wishes of the production team, and to keep doing what we do best while letting The X-Files team also continue to work hard but comfortably to bring us what we've wished for so long.
To those visiting the Vancouver area, please be respectful of the members of the cast and crew. For those online, please be respectful of the members of our community, and be patient... really, January 2016 is not too far away.
Thank you for all your outstanding excitement and understanding, it is quite amazing to see this community thriving and alive in celebration of what's to come.

Don't call it a reboot! Never call it a reboot.
Jeff Jensen from Entertainment Weekly had the pleasure to sit down with Chris Carter, Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny to talk a bit about the upcoming X-Files Revival... or, should we call it "Season 10"? They even talk to Joel McHale about his excitement of being part of this great opportunity.
Among many juicy details, we get the actors' and Carter's impressions about coming back to The X-Files in the age of Twitter, Tumblr and Facebook. In a time post 9/11. With old and new fans. You also get to see a great display of pictures from set.
Likewise, you get the truth behind Scully's hair, a clue into their current relationship status and even the name of Gillian Anderson's dog.
What we truly appreciate from this article was the knowledgeable way Jensen went about this opportunity, being a fan himself of the show. You're also served with ten episodes that should prepare you for the upcoming spread of new X-Files, and a look into the items of Mulder's home office.
