Fox has released some details for the upcoming premiere of Season 11, "My Struggle III", in a press release.
*mild spoilers ahead*
According to the press release from Fox, and as suspected, "My Struggle III" will be written and directed by Series Creator, Chris Carter. The release goes on to say:
"Picking up after the last event series' cliffhanger, Mulder and Scully learn that they aren't the only ones desperately searching for their long-lost son, William. The very fate of the world may depend on it in the all-new "My Struggle III" season premiere episode of THE X-FILES airing Wednesday, Jan. 3 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (XF-1101) (TV-14 D, L, V)"
And from Spoiler TV we have a tentative cast list:
"Cast: David Duchovny as Fox Mulder; Gillian Anderson as Dana Scully; Mitch Pileggi as Walter Skinner

You'd have to live under a rock to not notice the chemistry between Mulder and Scully. FOX has shared a new video that looks at the development of that chemistry over the years and sneaks in a few glimpses of the ship we may see in Season 11. A few eagle-eyed Philes have noted that there may even be some beer involved in this fraternizing of agents in motel rooms. If you were watching football on Sunday you may have caught another new promo from FOX for the upcoming premiere of The X-Files. At only 20 seconds, this little quickie shares images we've seen before but with one new twist. A few of the clips are from Darin Morgan's episode. Have they really stumbled upon "the conspiracy to end all conspiracies?"

David Duchovny's second album, Every Third Thought, will be released digitally on January 26th, 2018 and the album artwork is due to be revealed sometime next week.
Philes who have pre-ordered Every Third Thought by supporting the release via Pledge Music are also in for an early holiday gift. An exclusive download of "Stay on The Train", a previously unreleased track from David's first album Hell or Highwater, is available to everyone who has pledged. David himself says about the new track, "it's a song I wrote for my daughter during a tough time. I just meant to tell her not to give up, that things are never as good or bad as they seem. And I love trains."

Hell or Highwater is available now, and don't forget to book your tickets to see David on tour in Australia in February 2018.
