When we last saw Mulder and Scully's son, William, he was just a baby. He'd be 16 years old now and Chris Carter has hinted his story is important to Season 11. While there's been no official confirmation of who will play William, speculation is high. At the New York Comic Con panel Gillian Anderson joked that William got David's height. But after the panel, David Duchovny had more to say. He told TVLine's Michael Ausiello "He resembles two people that aren’t Mulder and Scully. And when you read this back [after watching the episodes] you’ll figure this out.” So maybe he really looks like Skinner after all?
Ausiello scored another spoiler about one of the Lone Gunmen, head here for details.

Don't give up, Doggett fans. Earlier this summer we reported that Robert Patrick was open to returning to the role of John Doggett in Season 11. Now TVLine has learned the X-Files crew has been working to make that happen. A scheduling conflict with Scorpion scrapped an earlier appearance. Chris Carter told TVLine, "I actually wrote him into an episode" but had to redo that when Patrick was unavailable due to commitments with Scorpion. Patrick is reportedly "game" to try again though. Read more from TVLine here.
We're crossing our fingers for a Doggett return. Annabeth Gish is back as Monica Reyes and maybe Doggett's presence is just the thing Reyes needs to return from the dark side.

With a show as secretive as The X-Files, trying to get many details about what to expect in the new season is like trying to get CGB Spender to give up his cigarettes. You can try but it probably won’t work! X-Files News participated in the press room event at New York Comic Con and spoke with Gillian Anderson, David Duchovny, Mitch Pileggi, and Chris Carter about Season 11. You can check out the videos of the full-length interviews too but here are some of the highlights.
The new season gets off to a quick start with a mythology episode that tackles the cliffhanger from “My Struggle 2.” Creator, Chris Carter, said he had a plan in mind even before Season 11 was a sure thing and hinted a rewatch of that episode would provide an answer. “You’ll see if you went back to look at the cliffhanger, you’ll see exactly where I set up what happens in episode one of Season 11.” Gillian Anderson joked that her reaction on reading the first script was, “what the f*ck?” while Mitch Pileggi called the episode a “head spinner.”
