Actually very recently. I'm not sure the exact day I started watching, but It was last semester, so around August or September. I'm only a few episodes away from finishing the series as I write this. I wasn't even born yet when the first episode aired. I actually looked it up, and I was born around the Emily arc. So this is all very new to me.

In 1997; I was in high school, and I didn’t have television to watch the show as it aired, so I bought all the episode guides, and I’d log onto the internet to read spoilers. If I was lucky, my friends would record episodes on VHS so I could watch them later.

In the 1990s I lived in an artist colony in Oakland called The Vulcan Foundry Studios. We had no cable in the building and on Sundays we would all assemble around the TVs that could get broadcast and we watched The X-Files like church every Sunday night.

I became a fan of Akte-X in 1995 back then as I was living in the German-speaking region of South Tyrol. The show was all new over there and my classmates were talking about it and how scary it was. Since I was a kid, I always loved Sci-Fi and Horror movies, so I naturally started watching The X-Files (in German) and I loved it.
