My sister and I started watching The X-Files last summer. I was a bit skeptical at first (after all it is a little hard to take someone seriously when their shoulder pads are bigger than their hair) but she eventually won me over, and now it's kind of our thing when we get together.

I became an X-Phile about 9 years ago. I was looking for a monologue for an acting class and came across Gillian Anderson in The House of Mirth, which at the time was my favourite book, and I became a fan of hers and wanted to branch out into more of her work, starting with The X-Files. And I couldn't stop watching it.
